How it works
Listeners stay on the public station stream. AutoDJ keeps the station running in the background, and DJs connect only to the LIVE mount when they are actually on air. When a DJ disconnects, Icecast falls back to AutoDJ.
DJ Quick Start
  1. Connect your encoder to the LIVE mount (/radio.mp3) only when you are actually on air. When you disconnect, Icecast automatically falls back to AutoDJ.
  2. Use MP3 128 kbps, 44.1 kHz, stereo (or match the station’s current stream format).
  3. Set your encoder title to your DJ name or live show identity (for example, “DJ Ramius”). The site keeps the scheduled show badge separate.
  4. Do a 10‑second silent test first — then fade in your opener so listeners aren’t hit with a hard start.
Metadata guidelines
  • Encoder title: use your DJ name or live identity. The schedule badge still comes from the station schedule.
  • Keep metadata clean: avoid emoji spam, ALL CAPS, or long scrolling text.
  • If you send track titles while LIVE, be consistent (Artist — Title). If you prefer, keep a stable DJ name instead of per-track metadata.
  • If you experience the wrong live label while LIVE, use a stable DJ name in your encoder instead of constantly changing metadata.

Guest DJs connect only to the LIVE mount. The AutoDJ mount is for station automation / host use. Credentials are managed on the server; use the Contact page if you need access.
Troubleshooting

Make sure you are connecting to the LIVE mount (/radio.mp3), not the AutoDJ mount (/autodj.mp3). Also confirm the host, port, and source credentials are correct.

Check your upload bandwidth and encoder buffer. Try lowering bitrate slightly (e.g., 112 kbps) and ensure no VPN/firewall is interrupting the stream.

The site reads Icecast status from http://altius-spectrum.ddns.net:8100/admin/publicstats. Verify that URL is reachable and that only the correct encoder is connected to the correct mount.
